China Southern is an airline headquartered in Guangzhou, China. It is the world’s 6th largest airline measured by passengers carried, and Asia’s largest airline in terms of both fleet size and passengers carried.

From its main hubs at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport, the airline flies to 121 destinations using a fleet of 422 aircraft, which includes 4 A380, 10 B777, 23 A330 and 177 A320.

China Southern currently offers 485 flights a day from its Guangzhou hub and 221 for its Beijing hub. The airline provides services to 65 international destinations. Most of the international flights link between Guangzhou and world cities.

Reverse Rostering Ports:

Guangzhou, Dubai, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Vancouver and Los Angeles.



Contract Length: 4 years renewable

China Southern offers three types of roster of varying work cycles, and salary is commensurate with the roster chosen.

  1. A valid and current B737/747/757/767/B777 or B787 type rating
    • Minimum 500 PIC hours on B777/B787, or
    • Minimum 500 PIC hours on B744/B757/B767, or
    • Minimum 1,000 hours PIC on B737NG
  2. Must have flown as Commander on the above type within 6 months
  3. Minimum 2,000 hrs PIC on multi-crew, multi-engine commercial jet with MTOW > 50 tons
  4. Minimum 5,000 hours in total (turboprop and turbojet only)
  5. Age:
    • With B777 or B787 rating, max age of 57
    • With B744/B757/B767 rating, max age of 56
    • With B737NG rating, max age of 50
  6. Valid ATPL from country with diplomatic relations with PRC.
  7. Valid First Class Medical
  8. Valid passport from country with diplomatic relations with PRC.
  9. No history of incidents or accidents
  10. No criminal record
  11. ICAO English Level 4 or above
