Air China Cargo, abbreviated for Air China Cargo Company Limited, is the only cargo company that can carry flags. Established on December 12, 2003, Air China Cargo has its headquarters located in Beijing with its major cargo operations base in Shanghai. The registered capital amounts to 3.235 billion Yuan and there are nearly 4,000 employees.
By the end of 2010, Air China Cargo owned the largest cargo plane team equipped with 9 planes of Boeing 747-400. Meanwhile it has the exclusive right to carry cargoes in the belly holds of the 272 passenger planes owned by Air China.
Up to May 2011, taking Beijing and Shanghai as the pivots, Air China Cargo has opened international and national cargo air routes to Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Paris, Vienna, Milan, New York, Chicago, Los Angles, Tokyo, Osaka, Taipei, Chengdu, and Dalian. Based on the air routes of Air China, Air China Cargo has indeed 141 flight stations and nearly 300 flights. It has also opened 90 national, and 588 international truck routes, which show its strength to deliver domestically and abroad.
